Electrical Technician - Offshore Wind Farm


Location: Offshore Wind Farm UK
Start Date: Immediate (Continuous Work)

We are looking for Electrical Technicians to work on an offshore wind farm. This role is ideal for candidates looking to progress their career in the wind industry and achieve Authorised Technician status.

📌Type of Work: Offshore (SOV)
📌Shift Pattern: 14 days on / 14 days off
📌Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (every other rotation will be night shifts)
📌Pay Rate: £33.26 per hour (PAYE only)
📌Standby Rate: £33.26 per hour (up to 8 hours)
📌Night Shift Uplift: Extra £4 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation & Compliance - Ensure all electrical systems (turbines, panels, transformers) are correctly installed and meet safety and performance standards.
Functional Testing - Power up and test electrical components to ensure they operate smoothly.
System Integration & Synchronisation - Ensure all systems communicate and work together efficiently.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving - Identify and fix any technical issues during commissioning.
Documentation & Reporting - Keep detailed records of test results and procedures for handover to the operational team.

Requirements

Experience: Previous electrical experience in the wind industry (preferably commissioning)
Qualifications: Formal electrical certifications (NVQ, C&G, etc.)
Industry Training (GWO & Offshore): GWO BST, BTT, ART, EFA
