Job description
Are you a Logistics Manager with experience of working for a manufacturing business? My client are looking for a Manager to join their growing business based in Sandbach Cheshire. Offering a salary of £40-45K working Monday to Friday DAYS. You will have experience of dealing with common dispatch and transport related issues with the ability to problem solve and effectively communicate to resolve issues.

The Role:
Lead and own the safe and efficient operation of the dispatch team and their development
Ensuring 100% compliance with documentation and system entry
Seek improvements to procedures in order to improve efficiency and cost.
Understand daily and weekly requirements for the customer with the ability to liaise with the manufacturing departments to enable timely shipments
Drive a culture of support and development
Drive zero waste through SQDCP process, improving performance to maximise KPI's using lean tool techniques
Liaise with departmental leads to pull work through the factory
Ensure the booking process of materials in and out is completed live and accurate
Manage the sub contract process of materials being booked out and back in, ensuring departments are made aware of the receipt of the materials into the factory
Follow work instructions that have been created, review and amend where necessary
Be responsible for accurate stock recording and complete weekly cycle counts of the area, investigating variances and ensuring robust solutions are put in place

Experienced Logistics Manager from a manufacturing background
Strong attention to detail
Problem solver
Ability to communicate effectively at all times
Willingness to learn new skills and continuously develop through own research or provided training
