Job Opportunity: Maintenance Engineer - Plastic Moulding Site (Hydraulics Focus)

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading plastic moulding site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulics, with experience in the maintenance and repair of machinery within a manufacturing environment.

Role Overview:

• Position: Maintenance Engineer
• Location: Northampton
• Industry: Plastic Moulding (Hydraulics Biased)
• Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 (depending on experience)
• Shift Pattern: Initially static Monday to Friday (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM), transitioning to rotating shifts (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on plastic moulding machines, with a focus on hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults to minimize downtime.
• Ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with the production team to identify and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and assist with machine upgrades as necessary.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Expertise in hydraulic systems, including fault diagnosis and repair.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
